Students Shine at ASA DataFest

Several students showcased their data analytics skills at the DataFest, held April 3-5 at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. The 48-hour competition allowed undergraduate students to demonstrate their abilities and collaboratively analyze complex datasets.
Multiple students earned recognition for their achievements, including the following:
• Best In Show: Tony Kochev, Sergio Revuelta, Logan Prasczewicz, Christian Masson and Dom Kucin
• Best Visualization: Mackenzie Welsh and Tanny Do
• Best Use of Data: Olivia Adamic, Nuvia HernandezNauman, Gabriel dos Reis and Jason A. Gasior
Students were able used real data to investigate and solve complex problems while developing practical skills in using data analysis tools. The American Statistical Association (ASA) is a leading community of statisticians that support the development, application and spread of statistical science.
